CAN ANYONE GIVE ME A HONEST OPINION ON THIS HOTEL FROM THIS YEAR PLEASE HOPEFULLY GOT CHANGED FROM PAMPS TO BORO AND THIS IS OUR HOTEL. ALSO SOME GOOD PLACES TO GO AT NIGHT PLEASE, MIXED GROUP OF FAMILIES, COUPLES AND THE HORNY SINGLE ONES. THANKSJIM C

Hotel is spot on, plenty of warm water and soft beds in rooms.Few bars in reception area with sofas to crash on when you finish skiing for the day.
Loads of bars and places to eat in Boro. You will have a great time, wish I was staying there again!

You get what you pay for
I have just returned and I would say it is below par..... BUT this is my opinion. The sofa bed mattress is 1 inch thick so not a nice sleep. Staff are miserable but I found out that most of the people in Bulgaria are miserable.

Absolute rubbish - most of the people in Bulgaria are not miserable - how many of the 7 million did you meet?
Nobody is saying you had a great holiday because you obviously didn't - but your generalisation of an entire race of people is untrue, unfair and without any substance.
Speak to the people who have visited the country over 20 times such as myself and you will get a much different picture.
Just because your experience was poor, there is no need to slag off a whole population ...

Hi im flying out tomorrow for my second year in a row to the Samokov Hotel i agree with the first person, soft beds, clean rooms, hot water. Great bar, nightclub not bad and food is okay, breakfast very good dinner some nights you eat in some nights you eat out, buzz bar opposite hotel great for happy hour drinks and a boogeyre: SAMAKOV HOTEL
Well said Pete, we came away from everywhere laughing at some comment made to us by friendly Bulgarian people trying to make friends with us, then again I walk around with a smile on my face and I always get that smile returned.

Been the last three years to the samokov no problems with the hotel central for slopes and nightlife, will have to go next year to find all these rude bulgarians
