"Went up to Glencoe yesterday for a bit of boarding before heading out to Boro on the 5th of March.
I honestly forgot how spoiled we've been with the snow in Bulgaria. In mid March two years ago I was in Pamps as the snow was quickly making its way off the mountain. Even with slushy bits and grass peeking through, the runs were in perfect condition compared to the crud I was in yesterday.

Lumpy, icy and rocky ... and that was the better runs. The access (plateau) poma was in a ridiculus state, with mud, huge icy ruts and bumps you would call moguls on any other slope ... and this was a green run. A frozen crust on a questionable base, hidden dips and gullies coming out of nowhere and nothing to show for it except two fresh scars on my board and a sore bit from the top t-bar. (I'll leave that to your imagination).
So... petrol £20 (shared with a boarding bud), lift pass £24, lunch £4, service my board now needs, minimum £15!
And I used to love skiing in Scotland, but then again, it used to snow more than once a year!"
...what it doesn't mention is that the car park is fine ... big enough for all users anytime I've been there in the last decade, although I always used to go midweek. It's right at the bottom of the access chair, so no wandering around looking lost. As for facilities, there are two cafes, one at the bottom of the resort, and one up the hill at the bottom of a run called Mug's Alley. Think they were caught on the hop though as the top cafe ran out of rolls just at the tail end of lunchtime.
All in all, wouldn't go back unless the conditions were excellent, and had been told so by someone, not read it off the skiscotland website.
Damn
Was going on saturday as the ski scotland web page says all runs open-good conditions etc. Went to glenshee last year having been told by them on the phone that the conditions were fantastic-best for years. bombed it up for 8.30am- it was keek- was going down a run when the snow dissapeared and there was 30metres of heather and granite boulders! could have killed myself. burd went to the ski school-met her for lunch- she showed me where she was getting tought- it was a bloody ice ...

will probably go anyway-but ken it`ll be nothing like boro............i mean theres no chance of getting morag and heather to lap dance for 20 levas in their wellies
That puts it into perspective then. Maybe I can wait just that little bit longer (2 and a bit weeks) saves a knackered board or worse an injury and a ruined holiday 16 sleeps and an egg butty
