We went to La Thuile last February and had a FANTASTIC week. The runs are great for beginners and intermediates and there is always the opportunity to go over to La Rosiere in France on your lift pass. The town itself is small but nice with some excellent eating places. Would highly recommend the Hotel Du Glacier. 16 year old son had good experience in board school and friends' sons enjoyed the ski school classes. Haven't been to Sestriere so can't comment but would go back to a Thuile ...

Thanks Roo ....that's gonna help me make my mind up...I've been to Bulg for the last couple of years and fancing taking a break somewhere else for a year before trying Borovets in 2008...I'll keep checking the snow cams ..La Thuile looks to be favourite!
I'm oof to Sestriere for xmas and by the look of the webcam and the fesh snow falling as we speak, I am in for a reall pow pow treat. The temperatures are forecasted to remain very low which will mean that the snow cannons will be powered to top up an already brilliant snow pack.
I vote Sestriere this year!! See you on the slopes.
