i was advised to get some with removeable liners. I found them to be a pain in the back side.
I bought a cheap pair of gortex ski gloves from ebay for £4.99 plus postage. I have used these for two years six days a week, riding a motorcycle to work. I wish I had bought all they could have supplied as they are fantastic, waterproof and warm. I'm just saying you don't have to spend a fortune.
I really feel the cold in my hands and I've tried several different types - including those with separate liners and, yes, they are a pain! I also tried mittens, which were ok, but a bit cumbersome when trying to manouver ski poles. This year I bought some North Face Montana gloves and they were brilliant
I was lucky enough to have been given a gift token for my local ski shop, as a present. Have always suffered from cold hands so decided to splash out on gloves. Bought Salomon leather gloves (cost a fortune) but have not had cold hands since. Even in Canada at Christmas (-19 on one particular day).
Before I went skiing for the first time in 2002, I bought a pair from the next catalogue, and I am still wearing them. They were cheap, less than £15. I have since bought more expensive gloves - usually at a discounted price from TKMaxx - and none have matched up to the cheapo next ones! They are falling apart now, with one more season in them if I'm lucky and I will miss them very much when they are gone.
Hubby's gloves are Salomon leather. Bought them with Vasco (instructor and now owner of Titanic) in Boro 15 years ago. Both pairs are still going strong, warm and water proof.
Got some spectularly wonderful hand coverings Phoenix, leather palms/underfingers, uppers lovely goretexy stuff. Inside doubly comfortable/warm. I love those gloves. Got them for £20 in blacks sale.
I love those gloves so much I rarely use them. I have two pairs of aldi goodenoughs that I use lots because I'm not scared of losing them! They are fine, last pair died after three years (&some miswashing!) cost £2.99!
