I know I am looking at the wrong end of the season but I wanted a suitable protective box for my ski helmet .I couldn't find one made especially for ski helmets so I investigated riding hat boxes. I have purchased a Charles Owen riding hat box for £13.60 from internet-it is padded and is just the right size-can also be padded out for extra protection with gloves etc around the helmet. My helmet has received a few bashes in transit, even with wrapping it with clothes.This box is also ...

Save £13.60 - just put it in your main luggage and cover it with clothes.
Mine's travelled over 30 flights without any damage whatsoever.Me with a hat box

There are 5 of us and i'm not buying a box for each. I just put mine in with all the ski gear and tuck it away in the loft for the summer

If a box is at least £13-60, I would wear it ( not the box)
