Hello everybody
I'm posting here for the first time and first of all wanted to say that this forum is superb and i have gathered a lot of info about bansko from here, so well done all of you contributors.
I have a few questions about the slopes in particular and about apres ski in bansko in general:
About the slopes:
Those Ski roads (1 and 2). what are they ? Are they kind of a piste that you can ski on, or are they a regular road for vehicles (i have red somewhere that one can go on skiing from the base of blue 12 to chalin valog through ski road 2).
Track number 14 (red). in some maps it is listed out of order and in the banskoski web site it is not even listed on the tracks list. is it active ? is that what is called " Cherna Molgli " ?
About bansko:
* Friends that where in bansko last season mentioned a very good italian restaurant near the intersection (the V) split of pirin street. if anyone knows it's name and/or address it would be a great help.
* Our group is into electronic music like House/Trans/Techno. is there a club in bansko that plays that kind of music or dedicates one of it's nights to this.
Any help to any of these questions would be appreciated a lot.
Steve (not the one with the C. the one with the E. but don't worry STEVE_C. i won't be posting a lot :-)
The ski road is a road but covered in snow! This gets you down from 1600 to town at 900. Around 7km of run.
14 at present is not active - too much avalanch risk.
Not sure of the restaurant you are talking about - poss the one near the Lion pub? There is however a nice new Italian above the Happy End bar called Sopranos. Worth a visit.
Oxygen bar generally plays the music you are looking for.
Enjoy!
Post away Steve, there is always room for another...
The 2nd ski road to which you refer is a link between the base of red 12 and the middle station of the gondola... V easy track, but not covered by cannons so conditons can deteriate quickly...
The Italian you mentioned is still there, right opposite the Lion on the road to Hotel Bulgaria, i think its called `La Pommadora' or something like that, can't recommend it as we have not eaten there, but it looks nice
Our friend Nic runs ...

Our friend Nic runs Oxygen, and as stated will put together some banging house if pushed, the dj's are a bit raw so the links are not great, but that apart the music is good. You could also try Amnesia at the bottom of Pirin Street on a Thursday night, old school house and techno, again the dj'ing not great, but still worth a look
