Yes, not as good as it used to be
Was on the Kitzsteinhorn above Kaprun in July, only four pistes open, very limited....
20 years ago there were on average 14 pistes open in the summer with the glacier extending almost to the train station (not used now since accident)....
I think it is general, the Grande Motte in Tignes and La Fornet in Val`d'isere also shrinking....
Sign of global warming ?????

Do it every year since its a glacier only 3 hours from my home. They open in june and close in august. They have 2 meter snow all summer, but right now its nearly 6 meter snow up there. The conditions are perfect all summer. :-)

Bet its expensive?- any tour companys organise this? or do you have to book it all up yourself?
