I have recently brought my own ski boots and would like to take them with me. NO SKIS. Do I have to pay ski carriage or is it the case that as long as I do not go over my 20kg I can book them in with my suitcase?
As long as the size and weight of the bag conforms to the airline norm......never had a problem over the years ...I don't think your boots will be that much heavier!!!...
.....unless, of course, some spiv has sold you a pair of deep sea diving boots!!!
If you are going with Balkan you will be charge £17 per boot bag. Last year we turned up with 3 boot bags as per normal to be included in our 20kg each but they refused to take them without putting them in our cases. At airport cases full so we had to pay for 3 x £17. Hard lesson. They are going in our cases this year.
I've booked with Balkan and paid the £17 carriage.
My board bag is large enough to pack my board and boots (special compartment). I was considering packing my clothes in the bag (since there is plenty of room).
Will taking the board boots and clothes in the same bag be a wise idea? I'm worried that the one bag will weigh over 20kg and they will have some issue with the carriage.
yes put in your case my case was 30 kg last year put it on with a load more no problem. But do not go over 30 kg they will make you take somthing out !!!
Last year we took 2 boot bags and were not charged with Balkan but had to put them in the hold, as long as you don't exceed your allowance including boots I think it's ok
We are packing them in our case this year so we don't queue twice
We haven't been charged by Thomas Cook the last two years, they have just gone on with our cases and they have been on the limit. We are flying with monarch this time though, does anyone know if they charge?
they say that boots do not could as specialist sports equipment so can go with the skis. They have to go with the rest of the luggage.
They can either go in the maincase or in a seperate bag, as long as the weight stays below 20kg.
