re: SNOW FORECAST

I doubt if all the lifts will be open as the forecast isnt that good im afraid BUT keep the faith as forecasts are known to be wrong and a lot can change in 24 hours!

re: SNOW FORECAST

If the Met Office's predicted surface pressure charts are to be believed (and they tend to be quite accurate) it looks like we may get some snow showers in the next 24 hrs but nothing significant. Running the predicted charts on 24 and 36 hours - none in that period. The problem now is that the winds are from south west again. If anything we may see a thaw !!.Complete 'mare. Looks like a bad year all round. Look how warm its been here in UK. Cannot see a sudden change. Can't remember a winter that went from a warm one, suddenly to blizzard conditions. I think Bulgaria will be poor for whole season. The snow usually falls consistently from mid Dec but there has been precious little. Cannot see that changing.Gutted for my trip on 6th.

possotive thinking everyone !!!! keep us updated whilst your there wont you. i have noticed that this site have convetinetly restricted access to the webcam images from this time previous years so that we cant compare. i presume becasue they are having a very bad season but they dont want to put people off from booking last minute.

re: SNOW FORECAST

We're supposed to be going on Sat. Think we'd better take our walking boots and drinking shoes with us as they'll be bugger'all else to do.

My mate tells me the alps had a dump overnight and they were'nt expecting it, so fingers crossed for a similar miracle in Bulgaria!

re: SNOW FORECAST

Don't know why everyone is getting so worried, if you look at the snow fall history for the last 5 years December and early January have alsways been rubbish. I've looked at the webcam images from last year and they look pretty much the same. I'm still optomistic that those of us going on the 13th will be fine. And if not, why worry, there is nothing anyone can do about it so we will just have to make the most of it.

re: SNOW FORECAST

I'm going to Borovets on the 6th too, i'm gutted by the lack of snow!

Have been to Borovets back in Jan 2003 and the snow was perfect, but this year is going to be a nightmare i think, looks really busy and icy!

Beginning to wish i was going back to Austria again this year!!

re: SNOW FORECAST

Daveo - sounds like i'm more likely to bump into you in the bars than on the slopes during the day. Anyone know any decent snow dances? Booze
