Depends who your flyin with mate the balkan airlines can be a bit shady, the planes are older than my mum, when we wnet it all looked a bit scary. We went into sofia the journey can be a bit hairy as the coach drivers drive very fast and the roads are unlit and windy but they know what they are doing. I am also scared of heights but i dont mind the gondola just dont look down. The chairlifts are a little scary but again just look up and itll be fine. We stayed at the rila last time. Facilities were good the staff were ok not overly firendly but def not rude. The food was ok lots of choice but mostly luke warm although they do provide microwaves to warm it up. The breakfasts were great. If you dont like the food on the other hand it is so cheap you can afford to eat out every night no probs. Hote bar was a little expensive so i would recommend drinking out.

No probs mate hope you have a great time, its mostly what you make of it its cheap and although i woyldnt class the hotel as 4* but the rooms are warm and cleaned daily. I have never been anywhere that is such great value for money. Borovets is quite lively and my mum said she preferred pamps cos it was more family based i like boro cos of the nightlife but it is certainly suitable for families too. There is a great kareoke bar where we took my little brother with us on a night. And when there is snow the skiing is excellent, the lack of snow is affecting mot of europe though so your not really guarenteed that wherever you go. At least in bulgaria we managed to get all in for £350 each and any other country would have been £550 plus. You will definateky enjoy it as long as you dont expect the ritz carlton.
