Why ruin a weeks skiing Question

Well, if you must.............
Sofia is a beautiful City, and you can book a 1/2 day or full day trip there from your resort. Transfer time is 90 minutes

re: SOFIA......

When I was there a few years back it was an option to add a day in Sofia on to your airport transfer. Leave approx 5 hours earlier than you would normally to drive to the airport and get a wee whistlestop tour on your last day

re: SOFIA......

You would recommend that 2.

To see the nightlife you would have to find a hotel for the night and learn a bit of Bulgarian to get you about.

You need to take your passport to check in the hotels there as well. There are small mini busses very cheap from resort to Samakov town then to Sofia from there. Not easy to do but if you are the adventurous type then go for it

re: SOFIA......

Hi,Would recommend the Hotel Lion. It's quite reasonable and is central. We stayed in the one opposite and although it's cheaper wouldn't advise it unless you are a bit of a cheap skate! - or used to camping!
Sofia has loads of great sites and is definately worth a look round. All the best buys are at the market which is close to the Hotel Lion.
We were warned to keep our bags to the front in the market but had no probs anywhere else. Look out for the 1 lev shop just the same as our pound ...
