Safe / deposit boxes - Hotel Murgavets and currency advise

Hi all,

just 2 weeks to go.

Does anyone know if there are safes available in room or deposit boxes at the Murgavets in Pamps?

Also can anyone tell me the approx exchange rate available in resort - local UK agents about 2.13/2.14 at the moment.

Safety deposits at reception. Current exchange rate in resort 2.28.

Thanks Pete, most helpful.

I will just get a bit of cash to cover day 1 and 2 and take sterling to change once there. Are there any expenses I need to be aware of or will a bit to cover snacks and lunch/drinks do?

I was thinking about 100 Lev would be plenty to cover anything we need (safety deposit box hire???). Please advise if I'm way off the mark.

I am sure 100 levs will be enough to get you settled in Jay. If you fly into Sofia you will stop at McDonalds after about 2 hours travelling so you will need some levs there. Maybe a tip for your porter on arrival but nothing else that should cost you anything worth mentioning.

I got 2.28 here in Thomson I used www.travelmoneymax.com and got the best rate online for the amount of levs I wanted and phoned my local shop, they matched it and I picked it up ....... in pamps this week (came back today) it wasn't as high as I got here. I use this ploy every where I travel

Thought about trying that but given that my transaction is small to say the least I assume it might be more hassle than it's worth for them to help.
