Safety boxes - Rila

Cold anyone advise me on the situation of Security boxes at the Rila. Do you actually have a key to access the boxes?, or are your valuables just placed in an sealed envelope in the safe ?(some Hotel's do this). Is it a pain waiting to access your security box if the reception desk is busy?

they are saftey boxes but the other side of the reception, you hand your key in and they get your box for you. usually not to long to wait. we do this every year, well worth the cost.

Yep dar is right, they have a system, there are a set of deposit boxes behind the counter, you can get one for a price cant remember how much but not a lot , they give you the key , when you want access you present the key , they unlock the drawer , hand it to you , you give it back when finished , they lock it and give you the key back.
all the time there are guards on duty infront of the security box area.
