Of topic but I need to rant! For those of you who dont know I am a self employed Privat Hire driver (taxi). The problem with this is almost on a daily basis I get sale calls. They generally go like this. " Hello can I speak to the proprietor?"
Me "Yes" pause " uh um well can I?"
Me "You are!"
"Oh I am from localy docaly magazine and we are just in the final stages of putting together our latest fantastic edition. Great new for you we have a limtited amount of advertising space left that we must get filled as the deadline is this Friday!" (Why is it always this Friday?)

Me "Oh really?"

"Yes and I can offer you a great discount in fact we are almost giving it away at this price. You cant miss this this publication is read by at least 1 man and his dog shep. Now can I put you down for our full page add at the bargain never to be repeated price of just £2000(quietly plus vat).

Me "No thank you"

" Oh but sir you cant miss this I will take a penny of the price. Do you not want more customers sir?"

Me "No they annoy me!"

" Ok how about our half page add I can do you a great price on that?"

Me" If I took out advertising with every company that called me I would have NO MONEY left!"

"Ok sir but this magazine does get read by 0 people sir"

Me " Go away"

Aghhhh sorry just had yet another one this morning and they are getting crafty now this one started of by telling me that she is working on behalf of the volunteers at the local hospital and wonderd if I could help? Then she goes on to explain that helping my local hospital volunteers would involve me parting with a large sum of money for a poxy add that no one will read!
