Samakov Hotel in Boro

Hi Folks,

What's the Samako hotel like these days. I've stayed in the Rila for the last couple of years, but fancied a change. Just for change sake really, oh, and I don't like walking back from the gondola. How do the two places compare ?

hasnt changed much, i prefer it to the rila but youll get varying opinions on here. on a positve note they do sell guiness and kilkenny now!!!!!!
im staying there on sunday so ill post notice of any drastic changes, like smiling staff

I cant say that I have been in the Rila, but i went to the Samokov in March and thought it was excellent!

The food and service in general was of a very high standard compared to what i was expecting, with a huge (and i mean HUGE) choice at the buffet.

Highly recommended.

We stayed at the Samokov hotel last Easter. I really enjoyed staying there: good quality for the price you pay ! The rooms are a bit old-fashioned, but clean!! I loved the food. People on this forum sometimes complained because it was lukewarm, but I thought it was warm enough.
Indeed, highly recommended!!!!

I thought samakov hotel was excellent loads of facilities probably very similar to the rila only one gripe i had was the very loud music that plays outside from the ice rink plays all day and and well into the night.
