Anyone stayed at the Samakov hotel this year? Local to nightlife? Food any good? Beerr prices?Cheers

Its a big ugly concrete block that looks like a russian army hotel. That said, its a massive place with good services and ok rooms etc, the staff are good and the food is eatable, its as cheap as chips to stay there so you have to remember that, you get what you pay for in this world. We went on a lads holiday there two years ago, it was perfect. Its smack bang in the middle of town close to the lifts etc. Its cool. My only frustration was it has a big pool, but the temp is very cold. ...

I was there over Christmas and it was fine. The beer is about 1-2 lev more in the hotel bar so you are better going out.The food was fine if you are not a fussy eater, lots of chicken and pork but wasn't as varied as when I have been before.
Snow conditions were fantastic though, we had a great week.
