Has anyone stayed in the Samokov Hotel? if so, your opinoins and views please.

we are going in march and it looks good also have had friends stay there and they said it was good. I think its on par with the rila which I have stayed in which was fine.Bacon.

stayed at the Samakov last january, this january and are flying out again to stay there on Saturday. Extremely handy for the gondala. Warm rooms and plenty big enough for two considering the amount of time you spend in it. Food can be hit and miss but always quite a variety in offer. Ski school and rental staff helpful. As previously said going out for the 3rd time in 13 months and our 4th visit to Borovets (1st year stayed in the Rila). Not 4* but good enough for the price

we were there last week, 6 of us. As Nad says,large warm rooms, plenty of hot water, and full baths, not just showers. Food OK, never spectacular, but you should always find something to eat. Bar prices roughly in line with the rest of the resort. Ideally positioned just over the road from the Yatsrabetz gondola lift. Beware though the ski depot downstairs is hugely overheated and you'll be glad to grab your gear and get out into the cold!

Stayed here quite a few times- my kids are fussy eaters but actually allways managed to find something to eat and looked forward to both the soup starter and deserts!
Large hotel on a par with the Rila, closer to Gondola as the Rila is closer to the nursery slopes there.
Large pool (quite cool though!)- air rifle range, shops, pool tables, few kids amusements with a bowling alley- small casino and i allways found polite and helpfull staff.
Ski rental and school downstairs i rate ...
