We can personally recommend anyone staying in boro,takes a taxi to Samokov town to eat in the Bonita pizza restaurant.The restaurant is the newest in Samokov with a great friendly atmosphere with prices substantialy lower than in Boro. we ate there on numerous occasions.On our first visit 5 adults and 2 kids had an evening meal and spent the evening there we had main courses (although forgot that you have to order potatoes and veg seperately) deserts, 2 bottles of wine and drinks galore. When the bill came the other couple said 40 each...I thought each person..but he just meant me and him...so the whole meal came to just under 80 lev about £30!! and the taxi back to Boro was just 10 lev although expect to pay more on the way down using a boro taxi. The English people who have property around Samakov and Boro use the restaurant and we were made to feel very welcome. The food was delicious and there was great range from pizza and pasta to pork,chicken,veal and fish with a variety of sauces. One point though...as the food is so cheap don't expect a free shot at the end....you cant have it all ...although the drinks were cheap too with Bulgarian and branded beers, spirits and wines.
