Hi,I've stayed at the Rila twice and the Samokov three times and to be honest i don't think there's anything in it.Rila better for lower slopes and Samokov better for Gondala, food about the same, rooms about the same, the view from the bar is nicer at the Rila but have found the samokov a bit more friendly, you'll be fine in either of them, this is my opinion only as i'm sure some will say one is much better than the other,Rigs
with that price diff, Samokov Hotel, as said on here very similar, but the atmosphere in the Samokov is shall we say a bit more laid back, not so much 'muscle' on show. Also its got the ten pin bowling, shooting gallery, t t ennis room etc etc.
Hi F3zza,
The differences are small. Both are ( very) big hotels on good location. Rooms and food are comparitive. Atmosphere is a bit different, but which do you prefere ?
I'd say ; if price diff. is 10% or more, go for the best (cheaper) deal.
We have also been looking at these two, and as we have two singletons travelling with us ( a male and a female, unrelated, adults, so NO they can't share)we found: Rila single is costed at £744.44 against Samokov £500.98..........
