re: Samokov

Hi stayed at the samakov twice in the last two years and going back on the 20th(praying for snow).

Found the accomodation very good. Quite basic but very clean and well maintained. Its really just somewhere to put your head down(if you get the chance Very Happy) and store clothes. Another bonus with a slightly older clientele when you do stumble into bed you shouldn't be disturbed(i heard the rila can be quite bad for that, seriously the bars are open 24 hours if your a real party animal you ...

As the food goes breakfasts are alrite(very good if you visit the omlette station.) Dinners are fine but would recommend that as food in the near by restaurants is so good and so cheap eat out as much as your funds allow. I recommend Marmacita's, the chinky next door and the happy duck(Lively atmosphere and good food).

re: Samokov

Stayed therethree years ago so thingsmight have changed. I agree with all the above comments but there is also a proper nightclub in the Samokov near to the bowling alley. It's not open every night so watch out for the flyers which will tell you when it is.
