Scams at Borovets ??

Just retured from Boro stayed at the Rila was overall a great holiday.
We always ate out for dinner as the food at the Rila was rather bland. My posting the thread relates to cheeky staff at SOME restuarants/shops
At one cafe/diner (next to the KB) we had a snack now i always leave afew levs tip but sometimes they just expect it! Eg it cost 13 lev for a couple of burgers gave them a 20 but they didnt bring the change when i got up the waitress just said "bye" she just expected 7 for ...

We also changed TC at the hotel as we couldnt be bothered to walk to the bank and was short changed by 10 lev. Sometimes in shops if you need a lev change they try and give you a sweet!! now if you popped into the papershop and were owed a pound would you except a humbug instead??
Some may think im being tight here but there is a principle involved, good service deserves a tip! Check your change at the time of any transaction!! Has anything similar happened to you?????

Thieving gyppos!!!I think i'll take the Mr Pink approach from reservoir dogs, if they deserve a tip i'll give them it.
It possible to pay everything by card when ya in resturaunts? n if they deserve a tip give em wotevas in ya pocket.

Bobi don t think you can pay by cards and im told its not advisable to use cards,,due to frauds etc.
apart from that the holiday was great!! although reading the current threads it seems that its getting expensive for next year.
