Popping up to Aviemore at the weekend- good skiing available at Cairngorm- forcast to get better this week too!
Other ski centres getting snow too- and its been a long time since Cairngorm offered even basic skiing EVERY month of 2010!
Lift pass for the day is £30.80 Adults and £22.50 kids (works out quite expensive, about £335 inc accom and petrol- for two nights and one days skiing, no insruction or hire- could get a week in Bulgaria for that!)
Thanks Kas-one days skiing in Scotland and accomadation etc is more expensive than a week in Bulgaria!, should really have a load of advertising flyers to put about when up there!
looking forward to a get together with everyone during our time with you!
Hi Ian - glad you are supporting Scottish skiing, however lift passes at Cairngorm are currently £20.50 (adult) or £12.50 (children).
Where are you driving from, and where on earth are you staying to be paying £300+ for fuel & accom? (how many people is that for?)
You will get a very good b+b for £30pp max, more likely £25 at this time of year. Even the Hilton Coylumbridge is less than £120/night dinner b+b for 2 people.
Driving From Newcastle area- got lift pass prices off the website(expecting more snow by the weekend so thinking more area will be open and full price?)
Usually stay at the Mcdonald hotels- though have stayed at the Cairngorm and McKenzies in the past.- years ago i used to come up every weekend nearly, during the season- and stayed at a private caravan at Speyside holiday park or at a bed and breakfast on Dalfaber road.
Allways support Scottish skiing- its where i learnt and my happiest ...

Allways support Scottish skiing- its where i learnt and my happiest memories are from my years in Aviemore!- just wish it wasnt as expensive now- i was budgeting £60 total for petrol and £200 accomadation/food.
