Scottish sterling acceptable?

Just a quick question that I relly hope someone can help with. Going to Bansko on 14th Jan (woohoo) and after much delibertaing decided to take Sterling and exchange it there. Is Scottish Sterling going to be an issue? Or should I try to obtain some English sterling? Any help much appreciated.

re: Scottish sterling acceptable?

I seem to remember when I was last in Bulgaria (99) they wouldn't accept Scottish notes. I think I've seen something to that effect on the various websites I've been looking at the last few days too. If I were you I'd take English to be on the safe side

Scottish notes aren't legal tender anywhere. Including Scotland... I'm flying from Glasgow via Stansted so will be stocking up while on English soil.
