Just wondering as i'm spending the whole winter in bansko, does ayone happen to know what the shopping deal is.
IN that is there a big supermarket,or just a little tiny shop, are there any sunday markets.
Hopefully someone can help, becasue otherwise im going to be having a suitcase full of pasta and tins of baked beans when i fly out.
There was a tiny supermarket just off one of the main roads that def sold pasta:} not sure about the baked beans though, I am sure there will be a big supermarket not far out of town, but no idea where it will be, proabably a taxi/car drive away.....
I am jealous that you are there the whole winter I arrive on the 23rd and know i will not want to come home
Anytime you can spend away in the snow is great.
Thanks for letting me know, also by anychance,do you know if the little supermarket is near the kandahar apartments, that would be a bonus if it is.
There are small fairly well stocked supermarkets all over town. There was a large supermarket on the road in from Sofia but it was only open for a couple of months before it closed down
You will find big supermarkets in Sofia there is a Metro there - they will give you a day pass if you show your passport you can stock up then for the winter they sell most things apart from gravy, marmite, brown sauce and english teabags all the above are hard to come by in Bulgaria so take them with you - English coffee also!
There is also Billa in Sofia and I am told they sell gravy!
