Very Happy Hello well one of the people that was in our group was expecting and like you wasnt when the holiday was booked. She still had a good timed and accompnied us on our ski school (walking of Course) The ski instructor we had was called Ivan and he was great he took her on the back of his skies and she even got her diploma for walking. There are a few shops and everything is cheap but as i found its better to look around before you buy as the price varies alot between different stalls ...

Cuppas
There are plenty of places to sit and drink cuppas all day and they do a great hot chocolate is most places in borovets so enjoy the atmosphere it,s great and i found the locals to be very pleasant as were many of the other tourists. Frankies is a great place with a good atmosphere for the day as is the black tiger there are also some great places at the bottom of the slope. If your up for walking them gorges which is half way up the mountain is a great place to go it is just a hut and camp fire but so relaxing and he serves food and drinks.

Walking boots
Most stalls sell walking boots but it was very icy when we were there last week so be carefull.

Shopping
You can get day trips shopping to Sofia i didn't go but people who were in my ski class did and they said it was a great day.

Anyway hope you have a good time borovets has a certain kind of charm that draws you back and i will be back in January 2005 this time with my kids in tow.

Take care hope this answered some of your questions
