Short Ski breaks

Folks.

The group of us are really feeling the need to get back sking after coming back in late january and we are looking into a weekend ski break or short ski break.

What is the best way to organise a ski weeked and how much is it likely to cost. We are hoping in very early April providing there is enough snow left.

Any ideas please as we`ve only ever booked full package skiing for one week before.

Ta V Much

re: Short Ski breaks

you can book things on the net but realy need to know where is good for snow at that time of the year and no matter where it is it is likely to be one of the higher resorts, transfere time will be one of your biggest issues if your only going a short break or a weekend, have a good look into it but if you need to go on a friday and come back on a sunday you might only get one and half days skiing in

re: Short Ski breaks

Cheers Sam for the info, I guessed that we would have to aim for one of the higher resorts.

The likelyhood is that it will be a long weekend, probably a thurs to a mon/tue.

Does anyone know the best resorts for this time of year or any info on these resorts..

Cheers
Gazzebo.

re: Short Ski breaks

best bets are possibly resorts in austria or france might be a couple in italy, best thing to do is get a brochure and have a flick through for high altitude ski resorts also look for snow making as well check for the ones that finish there season mid April to end of April, val d'lsere is good at that time of the year but is very expensive, there season dosnt finish until 21st of April also have 216 snow cannons, but you do pay for it, also bear in mind the kids break up for easter around ...

If you search may be able to get a short break a bit cheaper.
