Should I ski or should I board - not for the squeemish

I normally ski, but having had a one inch long screw put down the big toe to fuse the joint last summer it's still rather painful at the end of the toe

I've not even tried putting on my skiboots as the tip of my toe is hyper sensitive and of course, in skiing, boots are quite close fitting, especially at the end, which might not help... The consultant has said he "may be able to take the screw out before I go" but if not, should I think about doing boarding instead.

I'm not a very good skiier - can just about manage a very easy red, and I'm not biased either way, but it would really wind up my sister if I did try boarding instead as she's a Val d'Isere ski snob!!!

Advice welcome

re: Should I ski or should I board - not for the squeemish

Hi Jude,
Long time no here. Very Happy

Still with the beeeeeb I see.

Look the only way you can get on a snow board is to strap 1 on each leg then put youe head between your legs and kiss your rrrrrss goodbye Very Happy
Dam infernal things should be banned or sent to val disere.
Stick to skis you know which way to fall then, strapping you feet to a single plank I don't think so.

Other than that what ever you decide enjoy, great party 2005 in White Majic.
Back there jan 17 & Panorama Canada feb 25 ...

Judith, when you ski your heel is always put back at the end of your boot..remember? Wink
so please try it out at home and don't forget to go 'down the knees'
I think its the only way to be sure. You can always ask for a size bigger at a rentalshop or look out for a boot that goes very easy step-in.
Thats what I think Judith. Succes!
