The Rila is happy for you to take skis etc back to your room rather than leave own in depot. They also let you wear boots to and from room.
I've just come back from Borovets. I left my skis behind and hired skis from Borosport. The first morning they were awful - no edges and really sticky, but after a chat with the depot at lunch time they sent me down to the service centre behind the gondola where they sorted them out (no charge). After that, no problem. Be aware, though, that if they service them in the Borosport hire depot it will cost 10 lev.
