Should helmets be made compulsory?

Skiing is great fun and we all know the risks involved.

With that in mind, is it time that tour operators pushed for helmets to be made compulsory?

Camp Freddy, Sherpa Biffa, my new seven foot tall lacky, has an enormous helmet that he likes to check in as Hand Luggage at the Airport, he's very proud of it and can be seen waving it around at every opportunity

I have been unfortunate enough to see Sherpa Biffas proud possession.

I believe he is at home this very moment buffing his helmet in preparation for tomorrow.
