Should we be worried?

Hey

We're off to Boro in 12 days time yay!!! and were really looking forwards to it, but having read Steve's ordeal....we're feling a bit nervous. We're really going there to get some cheap skiing cause we love it, will we be dissapointed?

No, you'll have a great time, Steve was unlucky.
We stayed at the Breza, awful place but we only slept there.
The skiing, the people, the restaurants, the night life are fantastic.
Just take extra money for eating out, incase you don't like the food in your hotel.

we stayed in the rila this year and had a great time. great people, lots of snow and cheap and tasty food in mama mia's etc. where are you staying?

Agree entirely with Cass.

We suffered one night in the Bresa then paid to move to the Samakov. The food was disgusting.

All the things Cass said were fantastic I entirely agree, especially the people. (most of them anyway).

There may be a good chance that you won't like the food in your hotel but there is a vast choice of cheap places to eat out.

there were 7 of us who whent last week and all had a great time stayed in the rila didnt have any trouble with the prostitutes and were all 22 to 30 and guys so thought we would food was ok nothing to write home about but just get there early , our instuctor just did his job didnt try anything else . i think steve just had a bad one we all had a great time with no hasle !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

9 of us stayed et the samokov, basic,clean, food was o.k ish, but its so cheap to eat we didn't find it a problem.we had a brilliant time and would definately go back again, going to bansko feb 21st cant wait.

don't be worried, but if you have skiied elsewhere in europe expect it to be different.
if you want cheap skiing you'll get that but there is a lack of choice of runs..try the hotel food once..if you don't like it eat out..it's quite cheap anyway.
if you can avoid hassle from people who want you to come into their bars etc then great. I suspect you'll enjoy it so have fun

One thing you will benefit from, learning to ski in Bulgaria will stand you in great sted for the rest of europe, because the conditions can be a bit dodgy youll breeze the 'perfect pistes' they like to promote else where, however do it the other way round and all of a sudden its harder to ski in Bulgaria, tough eh
