Only from personal experience ... get £50 quids worth changed in UK for some change in yer pocket, then use the ATMs when it runs out

Lots of post on here regarding this. My advice is to change a small amount here say £30 (rate = 2.17 ish) take decent £20 notes with you and exchange in resort (rate currently 2.25 I believe).
There is merit in using ATMs but depends on the rate you get (normally ok) and how much the charge is so usually you need to get a fair bit out to make it worth while.
I have always taken cash and changed it as I needed it.

we took £500 and changed it all at once when we got to Boro at the bank opposite Bobbys bar, good rate too at 2,301 and no commission charge. then got a £100 worth of lev out the ATM. £600 for a family of four with two teenagers , i can't beat that on any other holiday, happy days roll on next year.

paul thats good you must have been half board to only spend that amount? tell ye what that rate is good isnt it, im going monday taking aprox £500 with me,think i spent about £450 last year,was thinking of changing mine in samacov on way into resort but if the rates that good i might not waste my time and do it in boro.re: Show Me The Money

that was self catering carey. we take our own bacon out for breakfast and buy eggs and bread and Atlantic red Rom in the little shops down the bottom. saves a bit of money and gets me and my boy on the lifts at 8:30. my first day sober last wednesday when we got home. it really sucks to be home. a long weekend in march is in order, after the next snow dump in march I'm on the next plane back to the land of fun.paul.
