Shred Crew required - Pamporovo 5th to 10th March 2012
I am hoping for a similarly excellent response to an earlier post prior to my trip to Borovets. I'm looking for snowboarders to ride with for the week. A mixed ability (and sex :wink2: ) group would be ideal as my partner, Tracey, is a good standard but not into the charging and larking about that I seem to get into. She was able to ride with a group of girls and it has seen her confidence build massively. So much so that she was tackling steep reds by the middle of the week with no fear ! ...

This will be our 5th time to Pamp's so we know the area pretty well, but we are always up for some additional local knowledge of 'the secret spots'.
We are also travelling with our friend and her son. She is a skiier - bless her for her misguided choice but she is a really good friend so we allow her to ride with us.
Her son is a developing snowboarding grom and has no fear of chucking himself at the nastiest looking slope he can find. Having someone his own age (14) to ride with though, won't hurt and will stop him feeling as though he is the nominated carer for a bunch of juiced up geriatrics.
So if you are a mixed group of skiiers / boarders out there and you will be in Pamps on the dates above, get in touch and we'll arrange a meet.

Hi Rickers - we'll be there from the 3rd until 10th and this will be our 20th year there
Know many skiers and boarders who will be there so if you want to catch up we will be staying at the Markony and will be in there every night from 4.30pm onwards.

Hey PP thank's for your reply.
Any chance your crew of boarders and skiers would fancy meeting at Ski School 2 on the morning of Tuesday 6th March ? That way we get the usual first day madness out of the way (as our friend will need to queue with the other sheep for her skis) and we'll all have loosened up a bit by then.
To be honest we are more into our daytime fun than 'apres' - although sinking a few cold one's after a good day is never a problem really.
It would be great though to ...

It would be great though to pick your brains, given you've been going there since Noah was a lad, to find out some of the off-the-beaten track spots.
I especially want to hit the run down past The Golden Eagle following the line of the old 2-man chair. I've never been down there and I'm intrigued as to where it goes and what the run is like.

Call into the Markony about 9am on Tuesday and we'll meet you there. The run you asking about takes you down towards the lakes - never skied it off-piste but should give you a great ride. Make sure you stay close to the 2 man though as its the only way you'll get back up.
If you want to go down that way on a pisted run take the back blue (by the single drag) and at the bottom just keep going. This will take you to the 2 man lift.
