to use a football analogy! Been back from Bansko for nearly a week and back at work. Am absolutley gutted to see it snowing over there and would love to be back .
Hope that all you going at the weekend have a good time, i went for the first time and thought it was excellent althought it did need more snow, which it now has.

the runs were good although not extensive and the ski road leading down to the town was a great way to finish off the day. If you are going down it it can be icy near the bottom , i went down on board and skis and it is better on the board as you a bit of a walk at the bottom.
if you do this, then i advise going to the bar across from the strazhite, the bloke who owns is very nice and the beer and food are great ( cheap too).
Bansko is a great resort and the people are very welcoming and the service provided is second to none.
have a good time amd think of us back at work.

Hi Nick,Off to Bansko on the 13th March for a week - hopefully the snow will still be falling when we get there.
We are staying in the Strazhite - what was it like?

the rooms are very clean and comfortable and the swimming pool and the sauna, steam room also good.
staff very friendly and the bars ok too..
The food is not the best though , breakfast was good but main meal was a little bit bland. However directly across the road is a little bar which does great food at very reasonale prices, me and my girlfriend had a two course meal and a couple of beers and it cost about 13 lev ( dont ...

Found that quite a few of the guests from teh hotel were over there due to beer being 1.50 lev a bottle ( zagorka very nice) and it was a good way to get chatting about the runs etc.
You will have a great time.
