Can you get local sim cards on pay as you go in Borovets and if so any idea the cost. Don’t won’t data roaming turning on the phone and costing an arm and leg.

you can buy bulgarian sim cards from different companies, but you have to register the card on your name.
The normal price for a national call is around 40 stotinki.International calls are expensive 3,60 lev a minute, a international sms is 25 stotinki, these prices are for Mtel, but Globul will be nearly the same.
Or can try FROG this is an newer company international calls for 1,19 lev...
