Ski Blades

Anyone tried ski blades?? I am an intermediate skier and was wondering if they were easier than skis to master???

re: Ski Blades

Go for it. Much more fun. Very easy to pick up if already a good skier.

Very easy and much more fun.

You'll be doing 360's and looking for Jumps in no time!

Really good when the snow is a little hard!

Give them a go you won't regret it!

re: Ski Blades

Go for the ones with adjustable/releasing bindings, like you find on normal skis.

A few reports of injuries from those wearing the non release type. Can't vouch for the truth of the matter but it makes sense.

re: Ski Blades

Fixed bindings are lighter and people say give a better ride. All though accidents are very rare when they do happen there the worst. Spiral fractures and knee injuries, not nice and will put you out for a long time. Personally i use releasables (spruce risers with salomon c509's). For the one reason that if your constantly worrying about falling, you don't ski with fun and dont push yourself. And i like to push myself. Enjoy.
