Ski Boots

Rang Balkan Holidays today re carrying ski boots/bag and told £29 should be charged at check-in.She explained sometimes they overlook it,but suggested better to put boots in suitcase.What are your experiences of this please?

Couple of years ago there was a woman with a clipboard walking the check in queue, anyone with skis or boot bag was ticked off the list if pre-booked carriage the others were made to pay there and then. It was £17 at the time, iirc.

I have never paid with Balkan for boots, been with them for the last 5 years. Flown from East Mid, Gatwick, and Manchester. They don't even include this in the 20kg baggage allowance. Already been this year, 5 Jan from East Mid. Winksb
