Ski Gear & Beer

Off to Borvets end of Feb (25th Manchester not got al my gear yet what are prices like in resort? Also not been to Bulgaria for 20 years beer was 5p a pint then whats it like now?

Can anyone recomend bars that are family friendly as 13 of us going but 6 are aged 8-13.

I would buy my gear here the resorts ar'nt that cheap, you wish the beer was still 5p a pint although 20 years age the beer in the uk was only about 80p a pint, beer costs about 3 to 4leves so just over a £1 still cheap.

Thanks for the info re the gear n beer shame its not still 5p a pint but £1 still not bad, any recommendations on a local brew?

sorry can't remeber what its called but the local stuff is realy good and in some bars quiet a lot cheaper then imported although in others there is'nt much different, more brits would move out there if it was still 5p a pint

if you want genuine ski clothing with full waranty then buy it all here,but if you're not bothered then buy it over there.it's nearly all fake but unless you plan to spend every min of your trip rolling in the snow it'll do a job for you. i've never seen so many fake spyder jackets,but when a rweal one costsover £400 you can see why people go for the stuff in resort :-) i wouldn't myself but then again i'm always blowing my money on things i shouldn't!! :-) have a great time mate

A good local brew is Kamenitza - keep away from the imported stuff tho, it tends to be much more expensive. Skis and boots are good value, have a chat with your instructor and try to get him to go shopping with you, they are usually happy to help. Have a great time - its a fun place
