Ski Hire

As a first timer without a clue can anyone I have a, probably very stupid, question.

I have booked the Learn to Ski package with my tour operator and was wondering what happened with the skis and boots. Do I collect them at the beginning of the holiday then return them at the end or do you have to return them each night and pick them up again in the morning?

dont worry, the rep will sort you out, it varies slightly depending on which resort you are at, but in Borovets you turn up en mass first morning get fitted for skis and boots/boards etc, leave your shoes with the depot and at the end of the day back go your ski/boots/board etc and you get your shoes back. You will also have a card with a number on it so that you get the same boots etc every day.

Yep, agreed. Sounds like a funny way of doing it, but it works fantasticaly well.

This might sound a bit obvious but someone in our group didn't think of it. He only packed one pair of shoes, which he exchanged for his ski boots in the morning.

He got back to the boot hire place late that night to find it shut, so no shoes that night. Thankfully he was a size 9 so he could borrow a pair of shoes from one of the group. Would have been interesting is he was size 6 !!!!

Needless to say he never got his boots back late for the rest of the week.

i left my stinking four year old merrells there last year, your more than welcome to them.Get to the hire place early on your first day or be prepared to wait.......
