We are heading out to Pamaporovo on Sun for our first ski holiday. Can't wait!
We have a child just a few weeks off their 4th birthday. Does anyone know of a ski kindergarten or creche for that age in Pamporovo. I have seen a note on the Inghams website saying there is a pre-bookable local kindergarten for 4-8yrs at Hotel Perelik, but I can't find any further info or contact e-mail.
there is a ski kindergarden in the malina depot, they ski for about an hour a day, it includes lunch and they play, sledge etc for the rest of the day.
4 years ago i was a rep with a 3 year old guests who wanted private tuition not kindergarden he now skis the black slopes and began snowboarding this year. Its a very good idea!

A couple of years ago I took a 3 year old in Feb who was 4 in March, we had to pay to put them in (even though it was free for 4 year olds and over - it was about 150 lev for the week) and they were only allowed to ski if they were 4, my son hated it. The provision is very poor. I would suggest you take a portable dvd, games and colouring sheets etc to keep them entertained. You will get skis for you to use with your child.

They are allowed to sledge in the afternoon. When over 4 it seems worth while as they go skiing etc and make friend with each other as they younger ones are left behind. You could try blagging it and say your child is over 4 if it does not have their DoB on a voucher.
One of our party sent their 4 yr old to the kindergarten in Jan.She had a great time-made lots of friends her own age so her parents had a good time skiing as well.It is based in the Perelik but the kids came to the slopes for skiing, bum boarding sledging etc every day-plenty of activities to keep them occupied. The rep organised it all on arrival and it cost about £70,this was from 9-4 and included lunch.
Hi just thought I would add my bit here. I am the parent of the child Michelle mentioned. This year was my son's 4th hol and he skied "the wall" and boarded and is now 7. His skiing ability has all come from having 1-1 tuition for the first 2 holidays out there. It costs around £30 per day and you will then also get to see plenty of your child during the day as they can join your group for a couple of hours with their instructor to mop up their spills. You can also meet for lunch every day ...

You can also meet for lunch every day and you will be able to take your child on the slopes yourself after ski school. With kindergarten you will drop them in the morning and not see them all day. I think it is a very personal choice and you need to decide what would be best for your family. Good luck
I used the kindergarten this year - my daughter is only 3 and a half and I thought she wouldn't be able to go as she was not 4. Lets just say i didn't exactly disclose how old she was and they didn't ask for evidence. She had a great time. She was not particularly bothered about skiing - we did get her 1-1 tuition for a couple of hours but it was really cold so she wasn't too keen.

The kindergarten was well run and the ladies very friendly and spoke good English. There were lots of other english children there too. At lunch they took them up to the main kindergarten at the Perelik where they had lunch and played for a while before returning to the slopes.
