IF........ the worst thing happens and the pesimistic reports come true (Please, NO!), what happens to the money we have paid out on ski school, ski hire, lift passes etc?
Do the tour companies refund them, or do they just pocket it and say "Tough Luck"?
£150 per head is a lot for a family to lose, and a lot of profit for someone else.
The claim should be made to your insurance company and not the tour operator, as they have to pay the supplier anyway snow or no snow. Make sure you have good cover.
