Hi there
Apologies for my ignorance as I have not been skiing before. Myself and my wife are looking to visit the Bansko region in the first week of February for 7 days. We will be staying at Premier Luxury Mountain Resort.
As we have both not skied before, we are looking for a 3 day package. We really want to try it out and see how it goes first. I have seen a package provided on this site for £124 each which includes all equipment, lift pass and 4hrs of tuition. When they say equipment what does this all include? Would there be additional
stuff we would need to get?
Would you consider this price to be reasonable? If not would it be better to arrange it on arrival or through another site?
Thanks in advance, all help would really be appreciated.
I have only been once (that was to Austria 4 years ago), but what you have found sounds a damn good price. I was looking at lessons as I am going the same week but staying in the Lion hotel, first time I will have been to Bulgaria. I'm not that good but can get down (not necessarily upright though!). If it says all equipment I would expect that to be the case as in skis, boots but maybe not a helmet?

Hi Eric.
I have only been once (that was to Austria 4 years ago), but what you have found sounds a damn good price. I would say that you will obviously need your clothing, jacket, salopettes, gloves. I paid £110 through Neilson/ Thomas Cook for a lift pass so £124 incl lessons seems, like I say one hell of a good deal! Is the pass for just the 3 days as mine is for 6 full days - may be worth sending an exploratory e-mail to them? Who are the lessons with as I may need to have a couple and am going to be posting on here about a few things too.
Not sure if the above is helpful but hope some of it is - I'm really looking forward to it as I have heard it is a beautiful country.
Normally in a package you will get all equipment, skis, boots and poles, your tuition will be 4 hours a day, and your pass will be available for all lifts. Helmets are not normally supplied, but should be available at a nominal charge. £124.00 looks to be in the area, and im assuming is with Ulen, the resort operator.. The benefit of operator instruction is that you get a VIP access to pass the gondola queue in the morning
Thanks for your replies. Just got a response after enquiring about the 3 day full ski package:
The Full ski package for 3 days includes: 3-days lift pass, 3-days hire of skis, poles and boots, 3-days ski school 4 hrs per day and ski evening. The ski evening is a party at the end of the lessons when you receive a certificate for the passed tuition.
This is valid for adult and child.

The ski school usually starts at 10.00h. in the morning, you have 2 hrs lessons, lunch break between 12.00 – 13.00 and then another 2 hrs lessons. The ski groups are formed up on the slopes according to the skiing level of different skiers.
Ski packages are available for children aged 7-11.99 years old.
Steve C - it does look like decent value. Are you referring to booking it through the resort I am staying in, or through bulgariaski site?
