You can get them at the gondla, can pay cash or card. If you have booked with a tour company best to book through them as work out cheaper.

remember that passes booked through the tour company don't come with insurance, those bought direct with Ulen (at the gondola) do.

Mat - I assume in this instance that by 'insurance' you're referring to mountain rescue insurance - i.e. the cost to bring you down the mountain should the worst happen - or is it more than that? If I've already got adequate travel insurance cover of my own which covers ski/snowboard activities then I would assume this insurance offered by ULEN is superfluous to the requirements of most people? Or am I missing something? Just trying to figure out what ULEN's insurance would give me above and beyond what I already have...

re: Ski Pass in Bansko

Shanek, it won't cover 'above and beyond' you own ski/board insurance, our instructor led us to believe it was aimed at all the local resort users who wouldn't carry the same holiday insurance that we do. Just make sure you carry details on the slopes as you will be asked for it in the event of a mountain rescue/medical help. Confused

Niki - thanks - thats what I was thinking. My insurance provider helpfully supplies a credit-card style policy reference and emergency contact numbers so it's a no-brainer to always carry it around. Hopefully will never have to use it!
