Ski Passes

Ok this is flipping brilliant web site,
My next question is........
Is it realy that expsensive to buy ski passes in resort? and if so is there anyway of purchasing them before we leave the UK?
(I know someone has asked this earlier but it seems there was no definate answer)
Thanks again in advance

re: Ski Passes

Hi, In Feb, if you paid by a Nationwide credit card- they don't charge the 2.75% currency fee- it worked out at just over £99. Mal

re: Ski Passes

Lord......so many questions !!!
In the resort of Borovets a lift pass for an adult for 6 days is 26O.OO leva which is about 90.00 pounds.
The price is based on last years prices so they may go up for this coming season.

re: Ski Passes

If you are booked on a package tour the lift passes are discounted and therefore cheaper to buy here than in resort.

If you are travelling independently i.e. booking own flight and accomodation seperatly you will not be able to get a cheapy lift pass thrown in but could make other savings depending on when you travel.

A 6 day lift pass in Bansko last season was approx £100 ( 280 Leva)

re: Ski Passes

Hello Lord
The lift prices are relatively expensive in BG even more if you compare the Ratio: ski miles-price.But different experience altogether so not so bad after all.

re: Ski Passes

Another ratio to consider would be lift pass price : time skiing.

re: Ski Passes

The prices for the coming season won't be released for about another month. Cheaper if you go package but there are some good flight deals to be had for the independant traveller. Look at Wizzair for example.I paid £81 for going out in March.
