Hi Julie,
You've chosen one of the best hotels in Borovets, I've stayed there for the last 8 yrs
As Noodles said , the Samokov has its ski school in the hotel.
What worries me about your question is that you want to contact them, I hope when you booked your holiday you purchased all the ski packs ie: lift pass, ski school, and skis & boots, if not, I would go back to your travel agent and book them today as if you leave it untill you get to Borovets you will be paying AT LEAST DOUBLE ...

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. We are going on 5th Feb through Airtours. We have pre-booked two adult ski packs and when booking we were told they would give us a free ski kindergarten for our 6 year old (6 in Jan). They have since phoned up to say they made a mistake and ski kindergarten is not included in the offer only ski school but that she is too young to attend ski school. I can't believe she is too young hence my wanting to contact the ski school and ask the question for myself then ...

I can't believe she is too young hence my wanting to contact the ski school and ask the question for myself then I will be able to 'negotiate' with Airtours! Any tips/advice for a staying at the Samokov as you are so experienced! We have asked for a high floor to try and keep noise to a minimum but any other advice would be welcome.
Happy days!
Julie
Hi Julie,
There is a ski kindergarten for the children aged 4 to 8 years.
But on our first trip we stayed for 2 weeks, booked kindergarten for both weeks, after 1 week my daughter (then 7) was bored so we saw the rep (Balkan Holidays) and he sorted it out and put her in a childrens group with a great instructor called Peter.(they didnt charge us any extra)
All we had to do was make sure she had money for dinner and drinks, never saw her all day and she had a whale of a time.

This might be the way to try and get you child into ski school, Alex is one of the top guys there, but they wont be there until the start of the season - - good luck.
As for the noise(high floor requested) its not too bad, keep the balkony door closed and you wont hear a thing.
Anyway they will probably shattered after skiing all day and partying most of the night, children are welcome in every bar, night cluband eating house.
For great food and drink visit the White Magic bar which is across the road from the Samokov, Christo the owner will make you very welcome and can give you a lot of help with most things.
Have fun
Did you read all my comments under your previous posting??
As a matter of interest it may be worth just checking you are with the Samokov Ski School. I understood the ski school was allocated according to your rather than upon which Hotel you were staying in. I may be wrong but people in our ski group, travelling with Inghams and staying at The Samokov were in the Borosport Ski School.
