Ski School

Hello, i am returning to borovets at feb half term with my wife and 2 children, 10 and 12 year olds. last time we skied in borovets we all had lessons with boro sport, they were great. the kids went off with the kids, and my wife and i went with the adults. This time though we would like to spend more time together skiing, as the instructors kept us all day last time.
the two children are about the same level, my wife is a nervous beginner, could anyone recommend/advise us of a ski school ...

re:Ski School

I'd enquire now if I was you . Instructors will be rushed off their feet at half term you may struggle to get more than the odd couple of hours private tuition .

I'd also suggest that unless things are different this season, Bobby tends to operate out of Hunters Ski School especially during half term.

Personally I'd go with the normal ski school option and maybe book a private class for the hour at the end of the day say between 3 and 4 where you can ski together.

The Titanic bar has a ski depot and George who runs it is fantastic. You would learn a lot in an hour with him. Trouble is I've known him for 13 odd years and can't remember his ...

re:Ski School

Hi David

Have you booked? If not, I am happy to try and help. Half-Term will be absolutely packed I am afraid, so your best option is group tuition. In addition to the above, Snowmasters are also very good. There is also a brand new ski school called Traventuria who have excellent I haven't personally used them.

Prices range from around 210euros for 6 days full ski pack for an adult up to around 250euros depending on who you use.

If you need any help, please let me know

Thank you all for all the advice, Kas we have booked the full ski package through balkan including, ski school etc, however i was considering missing the ski school and doing our own thing, just to keep everybody happy, my son and i are quite happy with the ski school, but last time the class progressed a little too quickly for my wife and she lost all her confidence, my daughter really enjoyed skiing but missed her mum and dad. i just was exploring alternatives to the borosport ski ...

re:Ski School

David,

I will email you the names of a couple of private instructors - including George (listed above). Also, a couple more new ski schools have opened up but they are very quiet so there may be potential there for a private lesson or 2.

I will send you a message.

Kas

re:Ski School

I really can't talk highly enough of George if Kas you are offering David details for the same one. He taught me when I first came to Borovets but also was just so brilliant with Ann-Marie who had a real confidence issue and also others who we both know. David for your wife it really would be worth looking him up
