Ski World Cup

My sources tell me that Bansko are in line to host a World Cup Ski Event in 2009, expect an announcement in the future confirming this.

For the forthcoming winter, Bansko is hosting the 2007 European Biathlon Championship 18-26 February, which will give Bansko fantastic media coverage.

I think you will all now agree what Bulgarian Ski Resort is the No 1.

Bob, do you know if there are any events being held in bansko at the end of jan, my first day on the slopes is jan 28th. when we went this yr (same week) the black run was closed and one of the red runs for most of our hol as there was some kids event being held on the run. bit of a pain in the butt!

There are a couple of Alpine competitions in January. One in the middle the other at the end of the month. I don't have the schedule with me at the moment, i'll have to check and advise later!

Bankso Bob, is there any chance you could post the schedule or a link to one for events taking place in Bansko this winter? I know that I'd be interested to have a look and should imagine lots of others would agree.

I am going during the biathlon, it sounds great but will there be runs shut?

Hi Daniel,

The runs will not be shut, the cross country track is seperate. You will have an opportunity to watch the action though!
