I'm sure this question has been asked before, I'm flying from Gatwick to boro on the 27th with BMI, does anyone know what the damage is with regards to the weight of bags and skis, I've been told that "all the gear - inc of skis" must way no more than 20kgs, taking into account that your boots way approx 7kgs it doesn't leave much room for mars bars and pot noodles!!!!
yep thats right £15 for skis also last year boots weere going undernath with skis at no xtra cost when you check in you will be told where to book skis in take u r boots with you and they will go under at no xtra cost
you should have booked with your holiday company for your ski carriage =£15ish return.
pack your boots in your case and stuff them with your mars bars & pot noodle.
another tip. fit your skis into your salopette trouser legs then into your ski bag I also put my ski socks over the ends of my skis, it helps to protect them and also cuts down on your 20kgs case weight.
Trust me I have been for the past 20+ years and have a wife who loves her clothes. Last year our cases weighed in at 20 KG I had skis and boots on top with all my ski wear stuffed in ski bag no questions. Also with all the years problems they have become a little more pro as to weight carried as you are not allowed to take specfic items in the cabin
