Ski carriage with Thomson

Hi all, I'm flying out on 9th March from Gatwick with Thomsons and wondering about ski carriage - I've paid for one ski carriage and wondering if I will get away with putting 2 sets of skis and poles in one bag? Just weighed the bag and its coming in at 14.7kg!!!

Any advice with this dilemma would be greatly appreciated as could really do without any hassle when I get to the airport. We travelled from Gatwick to Sofia for Christmas last year and after a 6 hr delay have really gone off ...

re:Ski carriage with Thomson

Mmmm, can't comment on Thomson but did fly Gatwick - Sofia with squeezy jet last season and put 2 pairs of skis in one bag, no questions asked (having paid additional fee for sports equip). Hopefully someone will be able to offer firm advice for Thomson. whatever the outcome have a great time - Nade

re:Ski carriage with Thomson

As long as you meet the weight restrictions then your fine. Check in staff are not allowed to look in your bags so it makes no difference whats in there. I flew with crystal a couple of weeks ago and had 2 sets in 1 bag and have done it several times before with other airlines.
