Ski damage

I have been told pigeons are a problem on the ski slopes at Bansko.

Apart from them swooping down towards me I am worried about what their droppings will do the the base of my skis

Would it be safer to rent skis so my new ones do not get damaged?

re: Ski damage

I'd reckon the rocks sticking out from the 2mm layer of snow will cause more damage!!

re: Ski damage

i would not use my own skis at the moment you will ruin them, as Alan says the rocks are ruining the skis. all the gear was brand new at the beginning of the season for the Thomson and Crystal rental stuff after the first week the skis were very badly scratched....
unless it snows loads leave them at home

re: Ski damage

Ok thanks - do you know if the pigeon droppings was out of your clothes easily or do they leave burn marks?
