Hi,
We went to Borovets on Christmas Eve 2005. Liked it so much we're going again in the first week of March.
The only problem we had was the first morning collecting our ski hire. Now, I understand that a Christmas day on Sunday is probably going to be one of the busiest days of the year to pick up our skis but it was a bit of a pain. Took us a couple of hours and they had run out by the end and according to our rep she frequently has problems with them running out of skis ...

So what I'm asking is this - when we go again what time would you recomend we got there? 8 o'clock seems a bit early (our flight doesn't get in till late) and 10 seems pushing it. Will we be alrgiht at 9?

went same time last year . We never got to the hotel untill 4am flight got delayed , We got there about 9am and was outside rila by 930re: Ski depot morning madness
If you are doing the whole package thingy again and have booked ski packs with your tour company, get to the welcome meeting before it starts and convince the rep you don't need to hear what they are telling you as you already know and ask her nicely to give you your packs before the welcome meeting starts.That way you beat most of the queues.
Well it worked for me last year anyway.

I was there last year and saw the same queues. I think there are only a few hire places in the resort. One of them is in the hotel Rila. Luckily for us we were staying there and never had to queue. We would always be there before them without really trying.See any of ya who are there from the 4th of March.
